Suicide Squad may have been rated PG-13, but that doesn't mean the film will be a family-friendly affair. After all, the entire premise of DC's blockbuster revolves around a group of hardened criminals who are busted out of prison to tackle missions deemed too dangerous for the rest of us.
Suicide Squad's first trailer threw the spotlight on Belle Reve penitentiary, the jail where the likes of Harley Quinn, Killer Croc and the Enchantress live and carry out the rest of their sentences before eventually uniting as a team.
The prison itself doesn't exactly look like a five-star hotel, but that could soon change, as Warner Bros. has announced that they're going to transform San Diego's Hard Rock Hotel into a replica of Belle Reve penitentiary during this year's Comic-Con.
Warner Bros will utilize every inch of the hotel's 6000 square feet, recreating a jail cell from Belle Reve along with Harley Quinn's tattoo parlor and a virtual reality experience where attendees can fight beside the Squad in scenes from the movie.
Belle Reve will be open to Comic-Con attendees from 10am to 7pm and the stars of the film will be present during WB's Hall H Presentation before moving on to film an episode of Conan that will air on Saturday, July 23.
If you're reading this and wishing flights to San Diego were cheaper, fret no more. Warner Bros. is holding a costume contest and the winners will receive an all-expenses paid trip with passes to the convention.
